Just wondering if anyone has an a legitimate reason for not removing the cooler line on the power steering. The one I'm talking about is the hard line that runs from the reservoir out to the front of the car and back.

I know it's just helping keep the fluid cool, but this car will not be a daily driver anymore and just for some track and autoX. I haven't researched prices of the manual rack, in my area yet, but ideally I'd like to go that path, but if I can't get a conversion, I thought one less line to worry about, would be nice.

Some of you must have done this or something similar when you put a FMIC on, I would think??

Good idea or not!!

There are tons of threads on this. Just take it off and loop the lines and no issues for a daily driver. The only issue is if you decide to auto-x. Most will recommend switching to an aftermarket cooler from summit racing or just keeping it as autocross puts a high stress on the fluid. Or of course you could switch to a manual rack. Here's the link to summit racing. Search Results for power steering cooler - SummitRacing.com

Thanks for the input. Couldn't decide if it was a good idea or not, now I am. Off it comes.:hellyeah:
