My power steering pump sucks the _____. I'm not to caring about ratio but the feedback when I go through a Slalom is HORRIBLE. When I jerk it back and forth I get a nice gracious period before she damn nears locks up (power steering, no more). I was talking to someone a long time ago about this and the season is coming up quick, they said there was an aftermarket mod for this. Any suggestions?

If you don't get any mod done you could always try doing the slaloms in a higher gear to bring the revs down. Helps to reduce PS cut. Also, don't jerk the wheel, quick smooth inputs.

Why does nobody search the tech articles on THIS site? :ohdamn: :)

2G pumps may be slightly different, but I believe they are fairly similar. If you get into it and find major differences, let me know and I'll update the article for the 2G specific stuff.

BTW - I auto-x'd the car once after it went back together (with this mod) and it steered beautifully throughout the course.
