Ok, for the past 2 months, i've noticed my car losing power. Every week it loses slightly more power. I've checked the hoses and fittings, and they are all clamped down tightly. The car has 75k on it and i have a k&n air filter, injen intake pipe, greddy intercooler piping, greddy type-s bov set to about 5-6 threads, iridium spark plugs, walbro 190 lph fuel pump, and greddy sp 2.5 inch exhaust system. I've replaced several parts now, but the power still seems to be dying down. The engine will race and the turbo will spool, but there is no power at all. My car feels like a nonturbo. Does anyone have any idea why i have such a power loss? Could it be a bad oxygen sensor? Possible clogged cat.? I pulled out my stock intake pipe to replace it with the injen pipe, and i noticed that there was a lot of oil in it. Could that cause my car to dog? I also do not have a high flow cat. Any suggestions?

Sounds like its pulling timing. It could very well be exactly the problems you stated above. If you think its your cat, Im curious, have you been running any high octane like trick? That would plug up a cat quik. It could be one of the two O2 sensors though. The oil in the intake is irritatingly normal unfortunately. Thats why many people switch the valve cover re-breather, to a atmospheric breather, or a filter with a catch can for excess oil with out the mess. It could also be your knock sensor. If your just running that cheap ass gas (87 oct) cause its so expensive these days. Then QUIT! Put like mid grade in and buy some octane boost. I personally recemend 108 Octane boost. It is avalible on in the NW at Shell gas stations. It works even better with two bottles (as recamended on the bottle) Good luck!

Whens the last time you changed your plugs/wires? Id do a full tune up and see what happens w/ that. A clogged cat will bog you down no doubt. Throw a cheapy test pipe in there.

Oil in the intake? Thats not normal on a healty turbo. Maybe your turbo is on its last leg. Is there alot of oil?

Have you checked engine compression? That would cause power loss.

As for the clogged cat, I would think you would have boost problems cause the turbo wouldn't be able to expell the gasses fast enoguh, but I've never had that problem so I don't know.

Ditch the iridium spark plugs.... how old is the plugs? my car totally changed when i replace my plugs back to ngk. i'm not saying that this will totally eliminate the loss of power, but sure will do some improvement. and yes, its time for you to do the timing belt job. good luck :thumb:

Ok, i replaced my cat with a high flow converter (my exhaust is 2.5 inches, and it matches perfectly). The guy at the muffler shop said my stock cat was not in the best of shape, but it wasn't bad. I put the new one on anyways since i knew i was gonna need it in the future. Runs slightly better, but still the lag problem. I will definitely check my plugs and o2 sensor. I'm also going to test my injectors as well. I got the timing belt done 10,000 milesa ago, so it should be ok. I'll give it a look though. Thanks fellow DSMers :thumb:
