so i just got me tsi awd (2nd gen), a few weeks ago (first dsm :thumb: ), and i love it to death. the only thing that bothers me is that it really doesnt have alot of power after about 5,000 rpm. it goes like hell to 5ish and then kinda just feels choked.

i know for sure the fuel solenoid is bad (dunno if that has anything to do with it), and the air filter is old and needs replaced, other than that i think everyting is in good working order.

what i was really wondering is if the stock t25 was just a small restrictive turbo? ive heard the t25 doesnt make alot of power after 5 grand anyway and was just curious.

ive searched a bit but cant find alot of specific info on this, if someone else has found a thread and doesnt mind linking me i would be very appreciative. :talon:

yea its most likely your t25, pos turbo

It's most likely the T25. Upgrade that little bastard to a 14b or 16g and you'll notice that your problem disappears. If you haven't already done so, there are some free mods you can do if you don't plan on upgrading a lot of things. Check the VFAQ for the BOV dump tube cut, the fuel pump rewire, and the boost control solenoid restrictor removal. Those things will all add a bit of power for you, but the big thing is the turbo. The T25 is just not very efficient at all.
