First thing, I am looking to have a few things powder coated to match the body of my car. It is Barcelona red pearl (the maroon color). Does anybody know where I can get powder that will match, or be very close?

Second, I have some ideas of what I want to get powder coated but I'm looking for input to what others think as well.

my list:
valve cover
cold air intake
BOV top to match

I think intercooler piping would be a little much.

Any info is appreciated, thanks.

Simple maroon is the right color . Im a powder coater myself. The only thing thats going to change will be the gloss. But they can do a semi high gloss( 60 percent ) clear coat to match your dsm maroon. Hope this helps. Also make sure its tiger or prismatic brand(lasts longer).

Ok, so i should get the hotcoat maroon that I linked? I want it to be close, obviously it probably isn't going to be perfect.

Also, you guys have any suggestions on what all to have powder coated? I know I want the valve cover, but I was also thinking my intake and the top of my BOV. Didn't know if more then that would be overkill or not.

The thing is, you can powdercoat more, its just all depends on what you want to be purple or not... I'd do like, black uicp, black intake manifold, ceramic coat exhaust manifold either siver or black.

It depends on what you want and what colors... at a point it becomes just paying for powder, not individual pieces. They call it a "lot" of parts to do... could have the same price for 4 pieces you have for 10, make sense? You actually have to call around and ask, or drive the car there and talk with the main guy abaout it, physically showing them what you want.

Also, a shop carries their own brands, they may not even use the powder you buy if it isn't up to par with their main brand... its like asking a house of color paint shop to use the rustoleum you just brought in.

Edit: and to add, the shop I go to has over 6000 colors, I'm sure you can find a match using an actual sample (its the actual color coated on a 1x1 piece of metal) rather than looking at hopefully the correct color hue on a computer screen

I guess I forgot to mention I have a buddy locally doing this at home and he wanted some test pieces. So that's why I'm hoping to buy a powder myself.

I like the idea of doing the piping in wrinkle black, I think I might go that way with it.

Its not "hot coat maroon" bud, its just maroon . It will be pretty close to your car color. Like i said clear is the only thing that changes. Maroon is a 40 percent gloss, your car is 60 percent gloss. they can add a semi high gloss coat to match your color.
On the exhaust manifold , id personally just buy a new one since its going to be around 130 or more for that one , you can get some good cast iron ones for like 250. Otherwise, you can even have them do a high temp coat . Power coating high temp
your exhaust mani will be cheap compared to ceramic coating it. High temp is made spefically for exhaust manifolds , ect. Have em' clean off the letters on your valve cover for a cleaner look. Top of your bov will be nice , id personally do my intake .
Make sure you post some pics when you get all this done , im curious to see how is going to turn out.
