Ok I really want to drop my 1g but don't know what kind of springs to get nor do I know how far I want to drop. I would like to stick with something simple like drop springs. No adjustable coilovers for me. I don't want to slame it to the ground either. Plus I don't want a harsh ride but would like it to be a little more sportier then stock. I also don't realy want to buy a camber kit either. So...

Please post pics of your dropped 1g and include what springs you have and how you rate the ride quality.

That's it, Thanks, Keivn.

those are Apex springs, lowered 1.7" i loved those springs the best out of what i have had in it, ride was good, stiffer but not so stiff that you need to be carfull. Rarly had to be carful about where i drove (scraping) i'd rate 9-10, still would have liked it a little stiffer

Where did you get them from and how much where they? Do you have problems with tire wear because of the camber?

car in the sig has H&R's it drops the front real low leaves the back higher kind of a old school "la rake" look but you'll need a camber for the rear an some stiffer struts overall they seem to be decent an offer the most drop in the springs ive seen on 1g's

well i am in canada, so where i got them was a tunershop here, so basically usless to you.

as far as i see ther is no camber issues... 1.7" on the dsm isnt a big drop.. honestly. i want 3" and i would be happy, but if u want something that is not so "4x4" but not low, then 1.7 is good. BTW i paid 300 canadian for them.

Anyone have pics of there 1g's with the eibach sport line springs w/ 17's? I think that's what I am leaning toward.

I noticed! I like the one about GJ's exhaust. I don't know any of them really either except the other dsmers that go. It's pretty fun sometimes. Good mix of cars to watch race. :thumb:

My 1g with eibach sport line springs and 17" E RACER rims :thumb:

I am getting KYB AGX's and goldline springs..... with brand new KYB strut mounts and bearing plates..... is thing going to be a good setup... or is it going to be too low? I drag race most of the time.

Here's mine on eibach sportlines and agx's. Nevermind the hideous stock winter rims.

My car has Eibach Sportline springs with kyb's and 17 inch ADR m-sport rims. The ride is quite bumpy but it could be worse. I really like how it looks. :thumb: :dsm:

haha ya, its not my fault he doesnt know how to weld and ripped someone off on their exhaust. I mostly just use them to sell stuff and watch them make themselves look stupid ;)

H&Rs on mine (1.5" drop), with KYB AGXes. Ride's a lot stiffer than stock, and I have to run 2/4 just to keep it from scraping as much. But then there are a lot of speedbumps and steep driveways that I have to traverse.

Terrible tire wear due to the camber, have to see if I can get it shimmed on the rear (no way I'm paying $90-160 for the adjustable, unless it's last-resort), and shell out the $14 a side for the proper front pins.

I cut the factory springs (1.5 coils:Front & 2.5 coils:rear) then installed KYB GR-2 struts. This lowered the :talon: almost 2.5" overall and greatly improved the ride and handling (my origninal struts were blown).

Here is a pic with some 15" (could of used a 60 series tire instead of a 50):

Here is a pic with some 17" (these have a 45 series tire):

So you just cut your stock springs? Hows the ride quality with just the stockers cut? Is it really bumpy?

ive got pics of my 1g dropped 2inchs in my gallery

Car looks good, but please keep your distance from me. I don't want your ghetto suspension to collapse and cause you to hit my car. :notgood:
