what do you like about them & don't like about them. what range of adjustment do they have.

also how much $ were they ?

I have JIC coilovers on my car that came with front camber plates. They are not properly designed and can give no more than 1 degree negative camber. They claim to have a fix in the works that should be ready in two months. It is an easy fix, so I will likely do it myself. The slot in the top plate needs to continue another 3/4", right now it just stops short. This should translate into another degree and a half of negative camber. Then I will be happy.

Other than this MAJOR flaw, I am pleased with the overall fit and finish. No goofy noises or creaks and pops or anything like that.

RRE makes a nice looking plate, but it is up there in $$. It will give you more caster, but you will have to grind a slot in the upper strut opening of the car to take full advantage of the available negative camber.

And finally, one of my friends has Tein plates on his GVR4 and they do the trick just fine. He beats the holy hell out of his car and they have held up great for several years.

Interesting, does your friend run just the tein camber plates? or a tein coilover setup ?

post some pics of the jics camber plates if you can.

My buddy runs the Tein plates with a Ground Control Koni setup. I have pics of my plates, but I don't have them hosted anywhere. I can email them to you if you want to host them.

Thanks for posting those. The above pics are my JIC camber plates. Note how the slot in the orange top plate ends short of the body of the car. If they continue that slot until it just meets the body of the car, you will get another degree and a half of camber.

have they fixed the design yet ? do they sell camber plates seperately ?

Apparently they have fixed this design and the new plates should be available soon. I got a call from JIC a week ago saying they had the new design all worked out and that I should recieve them in the next couple of weeks. I have always had great customer service from these guys and it is nice to see that they stand behind their product. I will take some pics when I get them, and I will post something after I have the car on the alignment rack again.

Yours look like you may not be able to get much more than 1 degree negative like my JICs above. Let me know how much camber you can get in the max negative direction when you get it aligned.

Thanks

Not sure about yoru JIC's, never seen them off a car, but the D2's have a slotted upper hole were it bolts the the steering knuckle. That would give it more than just what the camber plates do.

That would get the inside top of the tire too close, at least on my setup it would. The JICs don't have any slotted holes where they bolt to the spindle. As it sits now, I only have about 1/2-3/4" clearance between the top inside of the tire and the body of the coilovers.
