Covered it in aluminum foil and zip tied it out of the way so it wasn't touching anything.
 
Well if you absolutely need it you can keep it in the exhaust system and just fool it. I need to keep mine in NY because we have entered the wonderful world of OBD-II testing and without one you fail. Mine is in a bung with a small hole in the end so it still heats up and gets an ever so small amount of air which keeps the computer satisfied it's working. It's been on without a cat for over 3 months now will no CEL's. Works great check it out.
