I am in the market for a carbon fiber hood just not sure which one I want. There are so many out there to choose from. I would like something that would vent out some heat. Nothing that really sticks out. Post pics of a carbon fiber hood on your ride!! :)
 
I've owned Two diff kinda evo hoods, one I didn't like and is now on 97spydergs's car, the other one I wish I never sold... and I also owned a VIS Racing hood, I cannot remember what kind it was, but this is it... Its my favorite because its shape is soo sporty and not overdone...

This hood and the evo hoods are good for heat extraction. Mainly the Seibon CF Hood I had... I did a burnout and you could see how nicely it worked... looked like I had a chimney of smoke! hehe... it was also showin off the Turbo and that I liked! I had a light bar to where you couldn't see it, but it lit up the Turbo.

However, one of the guys that has a RS-T, Barcelona Red one... he candied his CF hood to look stock... but if you look at it the right way you notice its CF... its hot!
 
Best hood for that in my honest opinion, is the Seibon Evo Hood.... Why? Its more like an Evolution hood! The one by VIS Racing has some vents on the side, I owned that one too and I got rid of it the day I got it! The hole in the hood thats supposed to vent heat, was actually angled towards oncomming air... so it was more of an Induction then anything. I disliked that...

The Seibon, well where the hole was, it was flat and level... with some good aerodynamics. When I did a burnout one time to just show off before I installed my new tires, you could see how good it worked, as the hole acted like a chimney, smoke came out of it in a twister form, it was sweet!

The other style hood I owned was by VIS, and it worked out ok... I don't think it vented that much heat.... but it did vent a little bit.

I now remember I have a picture of my car with the Seibon Evo Hood....

Infinite, doesnt the evo hood strictly fit the GS/RS..? Thats what I heard because it doesnt have that hump to accomidate for the cam gears on the 4g63.. Just what I thought I read on this forum a while ago when I was gonna get an evo style one for my gst.
If he has a GSX then it wont fit that either, if thats the case.
 
Uhm, no! LOL no hump? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH The hump is big enough now to acomidate a V8... btw thats an exaguration. No The Evo Hood is made for RS/GS/GST/and GSX!

It has the hump... sorta... the hump is all the way through the hood, so its not on just the driverside... look at the picture and you'll see. I have never messed with a NT Only hood. And never will, I dislike the looks.

Can you not see the hump in all those pictures? I see them, even in that Fiberglass hood.

I think there's only like one hood that doesn't fit a Turbo Model. And I don't even know what its called.
 
Actually, I did have a somewhat of a side photo of the Evo Hood by Seibon...

This picture is when I just blew up a tire on the freeway and did a 360! So thats why there is a diff rim and tire. The spin out also damaged the bumper so this was the day I took out the bumper and was trying to get a good picture of my baby's momma in the car...

Notice the hump... Well the lift up... Instead of having a off looking hump in a hood that needs to be centered, they made it so the hump if you will, goes all the way through to the opposite side.... So Turbo people can use it... or if I wanted to throw an Evo motor in my car, it would fit and miss the hood!

LOL, I don't think its the hood... I think its that hideous bumper... CF nice... but that one... no!

Its like you see this insane cute girl, nice fit body.. and then she turns her head to look at you and on the opposite side of her nose or lips, there's this huge ass mole! With the hair and alla that good stuff commin out of it..... And you can't help but look at her like ->OMG WTF :barf:




..... MMMMOLEEEEEEE MOLE MOLLLLLEEEE HOLY MOLE!

GTP and a few others have that wing for sale! I was going to order one... until I decided to go with a 2gb Talon wing... so I'm just going to have GTP or some other place make a Talon Carbon Spoiler.

To view other nice stuff they have, including the Rdora CF Wing, www.aerokits.com

All you have to do is Google it and eventually you'll find it! Another company makes a 2gb turbo wing and cf doors and full interior and just tons of other stuff.

redeclipse7782: First off your car is gorgeous, looks like a red version of my car... well how I am building mine to look like... Next, is that the stock color? Barcelona Red AKA Wildberry?
