Just got my valve cover back, and even though I explained very carefully that the fittings need to be as flush as possible, the guy welded them kind of sticking up. Im worried about possible hood clearance issues.

should I just start over with another valve cover or give this one a try?

Who is this guy that welded that VC for your??? to be honest the welds don't look at all too great. Another thing is that most people tend to weld the bungs on the side of the VC not the top like the way your is.

It was a local shop that did the welds, but they are solid just not that pretty. If i spend some time these will look pretty good.

I hear you on the bungs and all, i just had a few extra fitting laying around that i wanted to use.

Paul volk's are on top of his valvecover. I don't really understand this thread.. It takes only a matter of a minute to switch a valve cover. If it doesn't fit then obviously you're forced to switch it.

I dont understand why those fitting are welded on your VC but if they didnt do the work the way you specified, you should get your money back or make them fix it.
