Langley,
Before I start, I know "race" pedals are a little ricey but I decided to put them on anyway simply because I was bored. Anyways, I put on the gas pedal and it works with two brackets that go around the back and hold the pedal onto the existing rubber. But, the problem is that one of the brackets does not allow the gas pedal to pivot as you push down on it. It makes the pedal feel alot tighter as well as the clutch. Just want to know if there are any side effects to doing this? besides the sore ankle after a long drive. It kind of feels like I can't take the pedal to WOT but the throttle response from the pedal is better than it was before and it is easier to engage the clutch properly with the pedals on.

sorry about the long post

On my first DSM, the screws on the clutch pedal would stick into the carpet, causing the pedal not to release. That was fun! If you have this problem, file them down ASAP!

I checked that and the screws don't go past the clutch pedal arm so the arm hits the floor and not the screws

Yeah, that sure is fun when the pedal sticks down. I had the same problem with my clutch and it would sit and bounce off of redline until you could kick it loose. You should have seen this old lady crossing the street illegally in front of me when it happened once. Muhahaha!
