im having a fuel leak and i was told that it may be coming from my fuel filter because it may not be tight enough. i only leak fuel when the car is running so far as i've noticed. how would i go about tightening up my fuel filter? i have a 6 bolt swap if that makes any difference in where i look for the fuel filter

First you need to determine where the leak is coming from.
Let it idle & get in your engine compartment with a flashlight. If it's coming from the bolt on the top of your fuel filter, replace the copper crush washers on either side of the banjo fitting.
Or, if the tube fitting on the bottom of the filter is leaking - tighten it up.

Also...spend $12 and get a Haynes shop manual for your car - it will pay for itself many times over.
