possible bad alternator???

so little bit ago i noticed my battery light on, tho it wasn't bright it was really faint at idle. When i start to drive it turns off. Any ideas???? The alternator is only 2 months old from advance auto.

It may be going out. My autozone alternator went out about after a month of use. I switched over to a saturn alt, and have had no problems with it for like a year now.

is it a bad battery that wont keep a charge so its too much stress for the altenator to run it alone?

no the battery is good. On the Ecmlink it shows 12.9v at idle.

Test the alternator bud. Since you have Link, set the boost gauge to read voltage it's how I found out about my bad AutoZone alternators. It shouldNt be going that low and sounds like it's going out.

That isn't enough voltage. You should be seeing anywhere from 13.5-14.8 volts on a good charging system.
