After reading enough thread about porting i think i've narrowed it down. I'm debating witch one to go with. Any help would be great.

Option 1:

Stock Unported head just polished with with lip behind the seat ported out. Stage 2 & 3 port and polish on the exhaust side.

Option 2:

Stage 2 & 3 ported and polished all the way around with Lip removal

Option 3: just Polish it and remove lip spend my money else where

I'm running a JMF Race manifold with HKS 272, Borg S362 (ET) so far.

I wouldnt waste any time on porting really. Stock untouched 1g head with just springs and cams have gone 9's all day. Maybe a quick polish on the exhaust side, but it wont yield too much benefits compared to the hassle of porting and all that jazz.

I would spend time/money elsewhere. Your setup is pretty solid, very similiar to the setup I will run to get myself into the 9's except I'll be using a divided s366 and jm fab race with q45 tb.

6 bolt or 7 bolt?

If you want to take your S362 all the way then porting is a key. Curt Brown got into the low 10s with a 16G. You already have a SMIM and I'm pretty a ported exhaust the only thing hold you back is the head.

On stock sized valves, and average sized cams, porting wont do much if anything at all. It will help when you're trying to go 8.05 instead of 8.1's in the 1/4, but on a mid 500 hp car, I wouldnt even bother porting.

And Curt Brown went 10s on a 16g because he can 60ft like no other and he spends all his money/time on other components to go fast. He goes as far as buying aftermarket brakes and wheel bearings because the stock units cause too much drag or friction. Hell, he even removes sway bars because they are too heavy for him.

Seriously tho, maybe a mild touch up on the exhuast side is all I would do for what you're asking.
