porting a sick head.

The ports on a dsm head are huge already.
I wouldnt worry about head porting until there is nothing left you can do.
But if you must waste the money I would make sure you use a very reputable person. You can easily lose power by bad porting.

im looking for fatest porting i can get.
big port

Bigger isn't always better, you can't just get the ports all hogged out & expect that they will flow alot better, like 90tsiawd said you can actually lose power if not done properly. Defently take it to a reputable DSM shop that does head work.

I'll just emphasize that bigger isn't always better. You can easily lose horsepower from making all of it too big, or just changing the angles/flowpath of the port.

If you're at that point where you need to have it done, Polk performance seems to be one of the top shops, as well as Engintecs, Buschur, or Magnus. My personal choice would be Mitch at Engintecs, but that decision is up to you.

what is the diffront ways of porting a head?
there must be a old way and new way of porting.
is the old way of porting hey yous a grinding wheel on a air grinder?
and the new way is with a CNC unit...?

What all do you have for mods so far.
Why is it you think you need a ported head?

Basically, clean up the casting errors in the bowl and match it to the seat as best you can, and maybe polish the exhaust port if you feel like it. You can spend a lot more time working on other details, match the intake port to the manifold, polish and deburr the combustion chamber, spend tons of time on other stuff for minimal gain, or spend a ton of money at a pro head porting shop for questionable bang-for-buck results. Or you can keep it simple and expend effort on stuff that matters.
