Ported Tb

I don't think you would realy see much of a gain if any. acording to your mods I think you would see the biggest gain from getting a good fmic.

Please don't bump your posts.

If I remember correctly, the 1g stock throttle body is already 63mm. A stock 2g TB is about 60mm. If you need a new throttle body, check out a junkyard for a stock replacement. I'm sure you can get one cheaper than $200.

Leave your stock turbo 1g throttle body. It's 60mm. The 2g is only 52mm. If it's sticking you should try to clean it with Throttle body cleaner. I upgraded to a 1g TB. It's great for $11 at the junk yard. $200 is over-rated. All it is, is your stock 1g TB bored out I belive. So it's not really new. I believe only the non turbo TB's are 63mm. But are more complicated to install.

1G TB=60mm
2G TB=52mm

If your current TB is still functioning then I don't think jumping up to a 63mm TB will provide enough of a performance increase to warrant the $200 expense. If you port the opening of the IM to match then it should give you better top end airflow as well as a bit more throttle response but as previously mentioned that money could probably be better spent elsewhere. However, if your TB is shot and needs replacement and the difference in cost is minimal then yes you will get some gain in performance with the bigger TB.

When you say "stock sticky one", if you mean that the throttle plate is sticking then it may be as simple as cleaning the TB or checking the throttle cable for binding.

Edit: ok, ok........so I'm not the fastest typer.LOL

Evweryone is correct about the size of the 1g, 2g. If your looking to do 63mm, have Steve Monroe port it and rebuild with new seals for only 130. So no, that is not worth the pric3e even close.

To be honest with you..........I know cars that run in the low 9's with stock throttle bodys........it is a waste of money unless you are trying to run 8's or quicker IMHO  I only have the stock 60mm throttle body on my car.

Ok thanks for the replies guys.
Soryy for the double post I was desperate.
And I do have a FMIC semi-installed.
