ported o2 housing on a stock exhaust?

hey everyone, i just got a ported out o2 housing in a trade for a valve cover and i am putting it in tonight, i was just wondering if anyone sees any advantage in doing so considering the rest of my exhaust is totally stock. the main reason i wanted it is so i can run with no downpipe on cruise nights because if i do that on the stock housing i get uncontrollable boost creep.. i cant see any real advantage of running it on a stock exhaust otherwise but maybe someone has good news for me? i get no creep whatsoever right now with the entire exhaust being stock.

I do not see an advantage to a ported 02 housing on a stock system.. its basically the same thing if you put a 3" downpipe with the stock cat-back it just doesnt help much unless the whole system can breathe.

thats what i was figuring.. oh well. i just bought a red powdercoated valve cover and my friend needs a valve cover and had a ported out o2 housing so thats why i got it, just traded him my old vc for his housing. i figure when i go out for races i can run open exhaust with it at least because on the stock housing when i tried that i got horrible creep. guess i just wait and see what happens

Why would you want to run just the o2 housing and no down pipe? Is there any sense to this besides being horribly loud?? You will get boost creep unless you have a external WG running no exhaust.
You need some back pressure so the turbo exhaust gasses dont out run the WG gasses if it does and creep will happen. Sorry to bash

its all experementation trying to get my car as fast as possible at its current state of tune, i was thinking i would still creep even with the ported housing like you said since the exhaust hole is much larger than the wg hole is, but then i thought that since the wg port is routed back into the exhaust anyway and it is seeing the same packpressure/lack thereof as the main outlet is it might work. plus a friend of mine runs open all the time and he doesnt have much of a creep issue. its ghetto, but i am saving up for dsmlink and my fuel system right now so i am always looking for a way to speed the car up a bit for the weekend races. the housing was free so its worth a shot. i have no plans on running open for anything other than a cruise night btw, i think it sounds like shit actually.. terrible.. loud in a bad way, but if it will make me faster then ill deal with it

Tru do what you want man. Dsmotorsports 11 sec 14b runs no exhaust ,just the 02. Just get porting
