In a 1ga the two buttons that are on the left side of the cluster are they for the cluster dimmer dial and the pop-up lights. Cause in a 1gb instead of the pop-ups its for my fog lights. I'm doing the pop-up headlight conversion. Can someone help please

Thanks

There should be three 'holes' for buttons. One for the simmer switch, one for the pop-ups, and one for the fog lights.

On a 1gb, there is just dimmer and fog lights, and the third hole is filled in so you just see an outline of it.

I hope that answered your question... it was a bit confusing.

I ripped out my fog lights cause they didn't work but could I wire them to my pop-up motors to power them

I'm sure you could rig something up, but it might not be the best way to do it. I really don't know much about the conversion, so hopefully someone will chime in.

If you just want it to work, you could wire up the pop-up motors directly to the battery with an in-line fuse and use a relay wired to a switch in the car. That way you can switch them on and off, although I'm not sure what tells the motors to start and stop. If you just give the motors 12v they will probably just keep going up and down. I'm not sure how the electronics work to stop them when they reach the top or bottom of their travel.

The easiest way would be to adjust the headlights manually and just leave it, but I'm sure you want your pop-ups to be fully functional.

I have a 90 parts car. I wonder if I could switch out the mechenism that the three buttons sit in would it work. I have to switch the dash harness anyway
