Well, pulling out of my driveway yesterday, I shifted into second gear, and heard a pop. It came from the front right, and when I was decelerating at the end of the road for the stoplight, I could have sworn I had a flat tire by the sound. Go out; checked it; and nothing was visibly wrong. So I go on about my driving, and everything feels normal (i.e. no wobble or pulling to the right/left), but everytime I slow down I can hear what sounds like a flat tire...and the speed of the sound is directly related to the rate the wheels are turning, so when I stop; it stops.
Ideas?
Things to check?

We just installed new AGXs and H&R sports two days ago. Could a spring have twisted in its perch?
Axle?

Open to all ideas y'all have. Thanks!

..hmm if you did a hard shift into 2nd and took some of the load off of the spring..it may have turned in the perch..*shrugs* dunno

possible suggestion....
find a nice place to push the car, have somebody walk along side , may even have the hood up..and try and find where the sound is comming from...or at least narrow it down :|

Its sitting at a service shop right now. I broke down and am gonna pay for it.

Suspense is killing me too. I get it back 'round 5.

This just in: Alignment done, and they CLAIM they did not hear the noise when they drove it....we'll see this evening.

Well, I still here SOMETHING, though it is not ar pronounced as it was before the alignment, nor as embarassing.

The dudes who work in those places are so freaking deaf.....think about how much moise they hear daily, and are never wearing hearing protection when I see them....

Argh! Hope this keeps getting better. Maybe if you just repeatedly dump the clutch at 5K you'll make the problem so bad that they'll hear it :)

Man my car is doing the exact same thing. It sounds like a rubbing from the front right... it kind of pulses as you slow down... slower and slower.. mine does it under breaking and coasting.. not on acceleration.
I am thinking that it is a wheel bearing or something... I am at a loss with this one too.
The pop noise could also be the steering rack. When they get worn they will pop a little... it sounds like a loose wheel or something when you corner. Let us know what you find... I have to fix mine before I take a trip this summer.

VERY similar problem. Maybe its time for a manual rack for me.
