What's wrong with a new set of stock wires? If you don't have any ignition upgrades is it really worth getting bigger wires?

those magnecores look nice man, 10mm gotta love em, i bet they dont even arc like my bosch. :D

and how much for a set of those iriduims? ;)

I do not recall. I brought them with me from japan. It's kinda funny. I had bought a box of them for my girls car (LS400) and when I went to change them Her car already had them and just needed a cleaning. So when it came time to change them on the talon I found out both cars use the same Iridium plug. :D

yea they work great. but it is absolutely imperative that your spark plug wells remain free of oil or water cause the wire are 100% silicon and can arc from the moisture rather easily. :thumb:

i guess you've never bought any parts even with a DSM discount from a dealer. and napa and others are just as rediculous in their pricing. going with upgraded magnecores or MSD wires from what i've seen so far are ~$20 cheaper that oem/oem replacements

p.s. i have a set of 8.5mm magnecores waiting at home for when i do my HG oil pump water pump etc and install my cyclone manifold

The NGK OEM replacements are anywhere from 2 to 3 times less expensive than the Magnecore wires and about $20 cheaper than MSD if you do a little online searching. And they make application specific for both 1G and 2G so you don't wind up with wires that are too long.

I haven't seen anyone document a performance improvement from the more expensive wires over the NGK OEM replacements that justifies the price difference.

Your correct that nobody should buy replacement wires from the dealer, that's one place where factory parts are the wrong choice.

I sell all of the wires mentioned, Magnecore, Accel, Nology, NGK, well, no bosch, but I would strictly recommend the NGK wires for almost all applications. I currently have Magnecore on my car but that is because the previous owner put them on.

Instances when more than NGK's are needed:
Complete ignition system upgrade
Trmendous amount of Horsepower when compared to Stock (I would hope you already have the above mentioned item to support all those extra ponies.)

On the 2000 Civic Si I had I used NGK's on it and was revving to just about 10,000 RPM and putting down about 225 ALL MOTOR HP and the NGK's were brilliant.

Plus like almost all NGK fans mentioned, $40-50!!!
