Ok i've babied this car, and have not done really anything to it, just exhaust and IC piping. Drove it today and it shifts really funny from 2-3 and also 3-4 really bad when the car heats up!!! Any ideas, its an automatic gst with 90,000miles and has for most part been babied!!!!!

Maybe new fulid, I just got my trans slab shift kit in, will this help???

Thanks everyone so much

I'm not a big advocate of shift kits but probably won't hurt. Won't hurt to change the fluid. Pull the dipstick out and drip the fluid on a piece of paper. If it looks pink, change it. If it looks brown that is caused by particles from your clutches wearing off.

Again fluid change won't hurt any.

If your fluid is brown absolutly do not change it unless you want to go ahead and rebuild the whole thing. It sound like you have a valve sticking in the valve body. They make a fluid that eliminates shudder and sludge. go to your nearest napa to get it it costs around 10 bucks and is in a red bottel.
