Hey guys sorry to post it here i couldnt get any feedback on Non Performance Mods Forum, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need some help on this. Im wanting to strip my front bumper. Its all corroded and weather'd from previous owners. So im wanting to know what i need to buy to take the paint off thats on there (is there a special plastic paint stripper?)and what do i use to clean it up (not sand paper, right?) steel wool pad? And do i primer then use factory paint codes. Any info besides *do a search* would be greatly appreciated thanks guys---Tony

Well, i did mine with sandpaper how ever it was very fine, and i wet sanded it. To patch up your bad spots use liquid fiber glass or bondo for urathane. Then gentaly sand it down, theres really no need to strip the paint off unless its really bad and if it is you should look into getting paint stripper suitable for plastic. I'd then prime your bumper with a fairly flat colour (i used grey) then paint away.

:D

if you just sand down the bumper, use 320-500, and finish it off with 800. If you strip it down to a bare plastic bumper, there's a special sanding cream to use, but you could problaby just wet sand with 1500 and be fine.
