pitted cam lobe?

Just got my HKS cams and have a question about the cam lobe.

Is this the cost of a valve float or what?

Is it still safe to run em' like this?

Just 1 lobe. all the rest are fine.

Ill be bring it to a machine shop and see if they can do anything about it.

These cams were on Hirevperformance's 700+hp 2g.

the bearing surface don't look that good either, looks to be from over torquing. just my guess it looks as if the roller for that valve had failed at some point.

Who ever sold those to you sold you damaged cams. They are pretty much trashed.

The exhaust cam is perfect and the intake cam, Just this 1 lobe, everything else is good.

Not a bad deal for a q45 tb and $50.

From here the bearing surfaces on both cams look pretty chewed in addition to that lobe.

Low oil pressure or maybe trash in the oil.
