pistons look ok? Pics

Oh... Just one word of warning. Put a shop towel inside the two cylinders that are down in their stroke while you work on the two up top. That way when you get bits and peices of gasket and carbon buildup off the two pistons up top you don't end up getting the others dirty and possibly dragging particles in your rings and against the cylinder walls. With the shop towels you'll pull the crap out with the towel and it won't go any further than that. If you wet the towel down with oil it will help stick better to the towel.

yeah I was debating on stuffing the downed cylinders with some extra rags. I have a huge box full of them. Thanks for the tip. Should I worry about the Headstud holes or can I just blow anything that goes in there out with an air compressor?

Blow them out with a compressor then use a tap to clean out the threads and blow them out again with an air gun.

I actually prefer the genuine Miller Tools one because you don't have to use a socket with it. It attaches directly to a 1/4" ratchet. This makes it easier to work in tight spaces. A 6 bolt in a 2G is particularly space limited for doing a t-belt.

You can buy the tool directly from Miller for the same price as the Jay Racing tool.

I think I'm just going to get a re manufactured 1g head from slowboy or CI motorsports and get all new gaskets, head studs etc.. when they rebuilt my motor the only thing that I didn't really approve upon was throwing in a "spare head" they had laying around. I'd rather finish up the rebuild with a fresh clean no-history head with everything perfect :).

There goes my 800 dollar budget for new wheels/tires oh well :hellyeah:

im the general manager at Slowboy. Call me up and i'll mkae sure that you are VERY well taken care of. I'd love a chance to earn your business!
