Ok I'll try and make this as brief as possible, I'm in a dire need of help/advice. I own a 95 RS-T. The previous owner fully re-built the motor and slapped the turbo on. Basically the problem is the rings that were put on managed to shave out the cylinder, creating a bell shape in the cylinder it self. Oil was getting by and shooting out of the exhaust.
I took it to the shop to get re-ringed. As far as I know of the pistons were JE, rods were Eagle, and rings were Total Seal. I bought some JE Rings to match the pistons @ 40 over. The top 2 compression rings fit fine. The oil ring is where I have the problem. The 3 parts of the oil ring go in and wooble all over the place. I'm afraid if I put it in and run it like that the rings will swap place and just let oil shoot out again. Mind you the old rings had about 5 rings just jammed in with the oil ring.
Now here comes the weird part. My mechanic looked at the rod. It says D.N.A. with a part number of 5608. He looked it up online and it turns out that its a company in Austrailia and that it comes in a set of JE pistons, JE rods, and JE rings. I myself have never heard of JE rods. So I don't really know what to do from here. I need to get an oil ring that will fit. Any advice/help you guys can lend would greatly be appreciated. I need this car running by Tuesday or else I don't know how I'm getting to college.
Here are the oil groove specs I got from a local machine shop:
Piston skirt: 3.4815
Oil groove (height): .150
Depth: .200
I called Summit (the guy didn't even know what a 420a was) and JE said they didn't have a ring that fits a groove height of .150

Does anyone know if stacking a few extra rings in the oil groove would be ok? Thats the only way I can think of to get the oil ring to stay still.
