Ok, well in my quest to find a boost leak I obtained a boost leak tester and ran it through with a full 7 gallon airtank, regulating to 20psi. I did not get any boost held whatsoever according to my boost gauge (aftermarket.) So I went spelunking for the problem and found this

Thats obviously the upper part of the Intercooler that leads to the Upper IC piping. My question is, is this fixable, or should I just replace the Intercooler? I also need to drive this car and am wondering if it will screw up anything, since I'm guessing the A/F mixture is going to be affected by this (obviously.)

Well, you can slide the hose down over it further for a temp. fix, but I would suggest replacing the intercooler. I've talked to a few people that have welded the same size piping onto the top of their intercooler to replace it, but didn't have very sucessful turnouts with it.

Besides, a replacement sidemount in the classifieds is dirt cheap. Check it out when you have the chance.

Sounds like a good plan. However I do not have access to the classifieds yet, im going to look up the criteria for using them momentarily. Thanks for the reply.

I'm pretty sure everyone can read the posts in the classifieds but you have to be a proven member to post an ad. I know new members can send PMs (cause I get lots from clueless ones) so if you see something you should have no problem contacting the seller.

Yes, it's possible to repair your IC. The question is how bad is the rest of your pipe. Are you going to need a place that can bead a new section (if the rest of the old pipe is swiss cheese) and how much will they charge.

For some reason it keeps saying "You do not have permission to view this category" whenever I click on one of the classifieds categories, weird

Ive done some research outside of the classifieds and they (Intercoolers) really are dirt cheap, I figure if I have to take it out of the car either way I might as well replace it. I'm gonna check local junkyards today. Thanks for the input fellows
