Piaa's Bulbs?

I have 5+ years on my PIAA superwhites, definately a high quality bulb.

BTW it is possible to melt the headlight housings using too high of wattage bulbs, I'm not sure if this applies to DSMs, but I've seen it happen on a couple of other vehicles.

OK. You'll need 9006 for the low beams and 9005 for the high beams. Two of each. Most people just get the low beams, since they don't use high beams often. If you use high beams a lot, you might want to get those, too. It's up to you. Check your local Walmart and see if they have them. They are the cheapest there.

....

im confused about my head lights i changed them to a se of black housing 97-99 projectors and the bulbs they came with are not 9006 or 9005 theese bulbs have 1 terminal on them and the lightbulb housing is grounded to where it mounts in the light housing

It is unfortunate you swapped because with the 9006/5 bulbs you can use a dremel and grind a couple small areas of plastic on the high beam bulb to fit it into the low beam fixture so you essentially have 4 high beams. It looks sweet b/c all the bulbs will be the same brightness and the low beams are aimed differently so no one even flashes thier lights at you! :thumb:

That is not HID. That is a kit to just run a higher wattage bulb. Those would run hot as hell and be bound to melt somethin
