There's an intelligent idea! Especially since it won't work, yeah, I'm gonna write that on MY "To do list."

Besides guys he is asking for GOOD suggestions.

I would have to go with a Cold air Intake and exhaust, if you have more money than that then buy a hearder also. An under drive pully would be nice too. :) Hope that helps. :talon:

dude you guys are no help at all in answering his question...did he ever one ask if a nt dsm could get fast? nope, dont think so. I have a 2gnt dsm and a 1gawd dsm. For the 2gnt, they can never become incredibly fast, but you can definately spank the rice burners out there easily. start with a cold air intake, then do your exhaust...header, hi flo cat, cat back exhaust, then an under drive pulley, then look into a lightened flywheel...stronger clutch, plugs/wires looks nice...

after all that is done then you will need to start ripping into the block to get more power...p&p heads, high compression pistons...

or you could skip all this, and buy the star stage 2 turbo kit and run a low 14 all day long....much easier, and cheaper to do and achieve 13/14 second timeslips.

Earth to moron, my friend in So cal swapped a 6bolt into his 2gnt. Worked fine and ran great.

Sorry man, this isn't the right place to post this question. You are really going to be dissapointed with the responses that you get when you post in the wrong forum. Ryder has the best advice for you at this point. I would tell you pretty much the same thing, but he said it so well. :thumb: Good luck with your new wallet hole.

check out www.2gnt.com
or, look around on some honda, cavalier and zx2 tuner sites to see what they're doing.
good exhaust, a true cai, and some n2o would make you pretty scary i think

Well first of all, thanks for calling me a moron-I appreciate that. And secondly, did it sound like this guy has that kind of money just laying around? Not really, he was asking about his first mod, not an entire make-over. ONE more thing: when someone asks for a suggestion do you always feel obligated to provide a comment that won't really help them? Maybe you should try to be a bit more help instead of just taking up pointless bandwidth. :talon:

OWNED, and i agree with topend_95 this needs to be deleted. Post all NT performance oriented questions in the NT forum.

Actually you said it WONT work, but whatever.

CAI and exhaust is a good start.

Are you looking to go fast or just a few bolt ons to throw a few more horses on and sound good?

Easy killer, being new and doing something wrong is one thing. Being new, doing something wrong, and then telling people to F - OFF after they mess with you a little is a good way to get no help from anyone.

I am just one of the people that will help you on your pursuit of better power. The guys were having a little fun with the new guy, it's kind of a initiation if you will. Some of the posts were kind of harsh, but in their way of expresing themselves, they might actually be messing around.

I hope that you just understand that some people are really anal about the way things are done here. Please don't get offended, just go to the right area, and post away.

One last thing. Try to disregard the negative stuff and just have fun with your car, that is the reason you bought it in the first place.
