Chrome doesn't fit in too well on white cars, and mirrors on modern (1G, 2G) chromeless cars just looks wrong. Although it seems to remain popular in Manila and Hong Kong. I'm just glad I've still not seen chrome fender trim on DSMs.

i have bought these and they are here, does anyone know how to install them its a 2gnt, thanks! :thumb:

well you pop out the litle triangle piece on the inside of the door covering where the mirror is, then you unscrew the screws and reinstall...its liek a 15 min process....easy stuff man

what about the sticky stuff that is on the inside of the mirrors? its like a teape like substance LOL

I know what your talking about. You can toss that crap. No worries.

If you want my opinion, :barf: but it's your car, not mine, I have some info for ya.
According to streetbeatcustoms, they are direct OEM fitiment. That's exactly the one you're looking at.
If I were personally getting a new style of mirrors, I'd go aero. Bomex has some okay ones. Here's another pair that I found if you long for a race car: click me
I personally like the stock mirrors.

i bought those same ones for my old talo and they fit just fine easy to install and i didnt have to paint them i wouldnt get them again only cause my stlye has changed since but i still like em :thumb:

hi there...
any of u guys here that have m3 diablo mirrors in ur eclipse know how to make that mirror as a power mirror? caz adjusting it manual is very hard... if any of u have done this before plz share the information.. thank u.

I have power M3 mirrors on my car. It came powered from the factory so installation was easy. Im not sure how you would get them to work. Youll need some way of controlling the mirrors.

i've been kinda thinking about trying to get some of those cheap ebay m3 mirrors for the 2g and fabbing em up for my 90. anybody heard of or tryed this? i figure the worst would be i'd have to do some drilling and trimming.

Hi guys. My first time here :)

I had a broken sideview mirror and decided to purchase the aftermarket M3 Carbon Fiber sideview mirrors for the eclipse (tons of them on ebay). My question is to anyone who is familiar with this instillation. I have removed the remains of the broken sideview mirror, and i took off the primary base. But I am still blocked by some leather piece with some fiberglass that wraps around the exterior and interior window. I guess i have to cut/remove this piece to put the m3 eclipse base on the window. Can anyone help who has installed this piece before or is familiar with the sideview mirrors on 96 GS. A big appreciation to anyone who can help me.

My base fit into that peice you are talking about some of the holes were bigger so I had to drill them out but I don't believe I removed the peice you are talking about but pic would be helpful for me to say for sure.

I'm actually having the same issue right now. The mounting plate for the M3s do not match up to the factory holes. Did you have to do a lot of fabing to make them work? And how about the wires to power the mirrors? My car has like 5 and the mirrors only have 3. Sorry to hijack, but I have questions too.

Well, I finally got them on. Damn, they look good! :p So I found that if you grind off the smaller screw hole leg, the other screws will bolt up. You just need to elongate the holes a bit. I will do a write up witin the week on how to properly install and wire them. Feel free to e-mail me for more info.
