peeps with CLK M3 mirrors need wiring help..

I wanna see them too, I've been looking at these on ebay: m3 dual color power mirrors
and my mustang-luvin friend is starting to get a bit jealous..... The JDM black projectors I got were a HUGE HUGE HUGE improvement for the look of my car (but it pisses me off that the high beam doesn't have a ring around it, wtf)

Also... has anybody tried these amber blinkers?... will they change the blink rate? amber LED 1157s

Hey I need your help on the wiring installation. I need some help as to how is the best way to snake the wires and how and what to connect them to. I know you have to connect them to the park lamp, turn signal lamp, and ground but i would like your advise on this.

Something like this may help you. You can find it at summit.

Sorry to bother you. But what is "summit" and what is that code you typed? I appreciate the help.

Goto summitracing.com, then copy and paste the part number into the box asking for "keyword or part #," then search.

I just got some power M3 mirror and went to install them. The wires on the old mirrors switch colors after the clip, so I wired the new mirrors to match those colors. It was obviously wrong when I tried to move them and the left button made them go up. The thing is it burnt out my mirror switch because I tried swapping the wires to get it right. The colors on the drivers side (car) are yellow w/white strips, yellow w/blue stripe, and blue w/white stripe. On the passengers side (car) its yellow w/white stripe, yellow w/red stripe, and green. And on the mirrors its red, black, and white. If anyone has successfully hooked these up please let us now how its wired up.

OK, from the Chinese directions that came with my mirrors that I had a Korean friend help decipher. The black wire is ground the red wire is DC 12V and the white wire is less than 180mA which I'm assuming is the wire that switches the direction.

From the manual, on the driver's side you have Yellow-White, Yellow-Blue and Blue White. On the passenger side you have Yellow-White, Yellow-Red and Green. I'm assuming the Black and Black-Yellow wires are for the heated mirrors.

I think the Yellow-White corresponds to the White wire on the mirror that alternates direction. I think the Yellow-Blue wire corresponds to Up/Down and the Blue-White corresponds to Right/Left. On the other side I think Yellow-Red is Up/Down and Green is Left/Right.

I had a thought when I was in the garage looking at the colors. Even though the mirror only has three wires, the switch may need to be grounded. So maybe the Black wire from the switch needs to be grounded. I know when I probed the wires with a test light they moved better. I have also used a 9V battery to move the mirrors to make sure they worked, so we can figure out which wire does what that way too.

I have tried all 9 combinations of connecting it without luck, so hope fully grounding it works. But don't hold me accountable if you burn anything up. I'm not an electrical guy.

I finally got a new switch from the junkyard and here are my results that I got. This works on my mirrors, no guaranty for yours but it may be a starting point. I got the right side to work perfectly, up is up, down is down, right is right, and left is left, but for some reason the left side didn't come out just right no matter how I wired it. The left side is right is right, left is left, up is down, and down is up. Anyway heres how I have it.

Left side of car:
yellow w/white=red
yellow w/blue=white
blue w/white=black

Right side of car:
yellow w/white=red
green=white
yellow w/red=black

Hope this helps a few people out. If anyone figures how to fix the left side let me know, but at least I can move both in all four directions now.

sorry to bring this thread back but i'm in the same boat except i tried the wiring listed above and still nothing... here is what i've found out

yellow w/ white = up and right
yellow w/ blue = down and right
blue = left

no current to the black w/ yellow or black

(this is just for the driver side on my GSX) any help would be great

alrighty update!!!

the red is the up/down motor
white is Left/Right
Black is ground

(these are the wires comming from new mirrors)

The solid black is ground from harness the black w/ yellow is still undetermined

alright so i hooked up 12v power to the red and white to see which motor they were and posted the results above i then hooked up the blue wire which sposed to go right (not left as stated eariler) and it still went left i then took the black wire off my ground and they didn't work then hooked the black wire from mirrors to black w/ yellow from harness and they still didn't work i'm out of ideas sorry i don't mean to "bump" i'm just updating as i find things out

the fitment on mine sucks small gaps all around which is enough for water to get in your door. plus they are kind of cheesy i would never buy them again, to many people get them and they dont look that great. you should just get some racing mirrors or something better ive looked around for new mirrors but didnt really find anything yet

Are they actually carbon fiber? Do they look real? I've heard mixed opinions on the wiring - some say direct swap others say no way no matter what they try.

Those ones could'nt be real carbon fiber. I'd probably just get manual anyway, so im not worried about wiring switches, just the signals on them.

I use to like these untill i drove a car that had them on.The vision sucks and it creates a bigger blind spot. They don't look bad on civics, but on our cars i just don't think they belong. The only mirrors i think look better then stock are the ones they used in the EURO and JDM market dsm's.

Ok, I usto have a gti vr6 with M3 mirrors and it looked killer. I was wondering what you guys thought of putting M3 mirrors on an eclipse?? Also, do any of you have pics of an eclipse with these mirrors?? :sneaky: . Id love to see an eclipse with m3's compared to stock mirrors:D

i have them on my eclipse and i do not like them at all anymore. they are to cheesy... i am pretty sure i am going to put the stock mirrors back on

I bought a set off ebay. I think they look good, but the fitment can be bad sometimes ive heard. Mine required an extra hole to be drilled to install properly but they worked out well. You will probably find that the instructions are confusing with them too. Mine had a little sheet about the size of a post-it note with a bunch of japanese lettersd all over it. All in all, I'd say go for it, theyre worth the $30 or whatever in my opinion.
