Anyone know if i can use a pcv valve in my brake booster line??... I did the 6 bolt swap with a friend and he decided to throw away the hose because it was old...LOL. Anyways i went to the dealership and they told me it was $25 to get hose with the check valve in it. And then they told me it was discontinued!!!. So what can i use as a check valve, that will hold up to boost??..Im looking for some type of inline valve that would work. I need the car monday to go to work, so this is an emergency!! THANKS TO ALL.

I found this check valve...McMaster-Carr.... Its the one all the way to the bottom... I'm thinking the 3/8 size would work.

I have used PCV valves for a check valves for years. It works very nice. I originally started doing using them to make it easier to hold my A/T car while brake boosting. Saving the saving the brake booster was secondary.

So any PCV valve would be able to hold up against boost??

I use a factory DSM PCV valve. Just make sure you put it in the right way. I shove the threaded side all the way in the hose and zip tie it(silicone hoses are easier to do this with than the standard fuel grade hoses). The pressure side coming from the intake I use a hose clamp to keep it from blowing off.

Sure, it's just the brakes. Why worry about using the manufacturer's part when you can save five or ten bucks?

The STUPID level around here is truly bewildering.
