I have pretty much removed everything I needed to get my engine out. The ONLY thing I have left is the Passenger's side axle. It's a little stubborn. If I'm not mistaken it should just come out, right? My buddy, Rob (GSXrestomod) and I, tried to remove it by prying it. It's a little stubborn. Is there a bolt that keeps it in the transaxle or does it just come out?

The car is a 91 AWD 5spd. Passenger side axle.:talon:

the drivers side has 2 bolts holding the axle. the passenger side doesn't have any bolts. I would just take the boot off the axle. I have a transmission that I never could get the axle hub out of the transmission. The c-clip expanded or something. The transmission is not even in the car.

it can be a pita to pull out that axle, ive always used a big flat screwdriver to pry it out from the transmission. I would hook it between the transmission and the axle and tap it in with a hammer untill it felt like it was stuck, then i would tap on the crewdriver sideways to pry out the axle. It takes a while but it will eventually give loose.

Thanks Dude! Sounds like smart working instead of just muscling everything through. I'll give that a try. The thing that makes that axle the hardest is that angle just before the axle where you would put the screwdriver. That angle makes it REALLY hard to pry. Tapping the screwdriver sounds like a good idea. I'll try it. Thanks!:talon:
