Parts store Power Locks, Window Motors

Anyone used these and had any luck? They are relatively cheap (employee discount) and they have a lifetime warranty, I just don't wanna replace them every year.

Would I be better off with used oem? Im trying to avoid new oem...$$$$

My locks and windows are getting tired, only one on each side, but I figured Id update them all.

i would recommend the oem in my experience you wind up spending more money on replacing them every year

OEM will definitely be the better option but sometimes that's not always in the budget.

Since this got dugged up... Ill post my findings.

Parts stores sell the regulator with motor for around 100+ rock auto sells the same dorman branded one for $75 plus shipping. The local parts stores come with lifetime warranties, as long as you have a receipt... so the only expense that could possibly add up is time.

OEM is about $105, so at a differential of only $30 this is a no brainer, OEM.

Locks are tricky. Aftermarket and quality solenoids have been adapted to many cars for about $10 a side. This is very popular with G35/37 guys who have terrible door motors, they shell out $400+ otherwise per side.

IDK if $140 per side is worth it for us. Maybe later, but I might take my chances with JY. OEM is the only AVAILABLE bolt on option period. Either new or Junkyard for $25 ish.

I plan on doing some door stuff anyway, so I will be cleaning up the linkages and lubing them in hopes of better operation.
