parts out of 1g tsi fwd talon work in 2g tsi fwd talon

will the gears and clutch in my 1g tsi fwd trans work in my 2g fwd tsi trans if you know please tell me

good question.....i put a 1g 6 bolt in my car years ago and still used the 7 bolt tranny,but i did have to change the entire clutch and flywheel..the gears on the other hand,i would say that they are different,clutch might be the same,but flywheel is definitly different....

i curently have a 1g fwd and the guy i bought my 1g from now has a 2g for sale but it needs a clutch and first gear so i was going to pull the clutch and gears out and put them in but thanks great info
