Oh yeah? you should see the turbo on my car right now. I replaced the GT35 with another turbo that has a reputation for being a quick spooling turbo. At least that's what the rumors said, and after driving it tonight with some 100 octane all I can say is WOW! It's for real! this sucker spools quick and hits hard, such fun!

I saw the setup yesterday and its looking nice. Dave also got to see my new setup thats sittin in my garage... lookin good too eh dave?

Yeah, you got a sweet setup for your car Danny. It'll make you very happy.

100 octane is up to $5.89, it's still not that much more than 91 octane.

I remembered something today; I still had a throttle stop attached to the gas pedal in my Talon from when I had the Q45 TB. Now that I swapped it out I was only getting 85% throttle! So I cut off the throttle stop. Dam, my car keeps getting faster!

new challenge mahesh, if I remember correctly, you haven't run a 13 yet, so this summer its the race to lowest 13's. You in your awd white car (if it ever sees the track, if not I don't care if you use the black car or the merc, neither of them have a good chance of running 13's though iirc) and me in my new daily driver (seeing as I think the mirage would be a little bit of a weight advantage and the fact that if I really cared I could put the evo316g in there with one of many intercoolers and keep the quaiffe and act2600 in there).

nicole vs. the conquest (think of it as a new and improved quest for me, HAHAH)

with the down time for the swap you'll get some solid time in there, should only take you one run if you can keep your foot off the brake for long enough to put down a 13, so lets see who can put down the fastest time.

Well, I ran a 14.001 standing on the brakes and mid 13s on the G-Tech on the old setup (which makes sense). So I think it should be first to 12s.

I'll be making more power in a lighter car, so its going to come down to the usual suspects,... traction, driveline breakage, and drivers skill. Having never launched a rwd car before, all three of these things are HEAVILY not in my favor,...

lets just hope I can figure out a way to put the power down and get across the line before you. We should try and make sure we go the same day so we can try and get in there for some head to head action

Worse comes to worse, I crank up the boost, cut a 2.5 second 60 foot, and make it up down the strip, with my eyes closed and me mouthing "stay in one peice tranny, STAY IN ONE PEICE"



my 1-2 shift will also be very very hindered, unless when I change the fluid this weekend I find it to be a couple quarts short. Its tempting to just go with The Tremec T56 six-speed manual transmission (model TR6060). Should be good for at least 600 hp and 560 ft lbs. (and yes there is an adapter plate for it, hehehehehe)

AYE, if I get the zr-1 spec tranny it should be good for an additional 20 crank hp at least,

in all seriousness though, I'm considering going with an older version of the t5 tranny (think lt-1 or possibly ls-1) as the adapter plate has already been made. But that will be AFTER the motor swap, somewhere down the road. Hopefully the stock tranny will hold up to the power I'll be making until I can afford to blow it to bits and peices. There are also some other options available, so I haven't committed to any one option.
