Resolved Part number request Please

I'm looking for a part number for the small hard brake line that runs behind the passenger side shock between the two rubber lines for a 94 Talon TSi AWD. I've seen people call it the intermediate brake line on some of the abs delete threads I've read but I'm not sure if thats the correct name or not.

Can anyone help me? I just left the mistu dealer and we couldn't even find this line in the catalog/brakes diagram. Anyone know what size line and fittings it is so I could maybe just bend one myself?

Thanks I am about 99% sure its the part numbered 52991R. The one I need is the on that is in between the two rubber lines that is right behind the front shock. Does it matter 2WD or AWD? Is that a diagram of a 1g? I told the guy at my mitsu dealer that I think we were looking at a 2g diagram cause it def didn't look like yours.

Yep, the diagram is for a 1g.

I actually had to look that part number up from the Chrysler parts program, as that part shows *NO DATA* for the part number for some weird reason. I got a part number of MB500918 for that part. It does go between 2 brake hoses.


FYI, I'm not surprised that an OEM parts dealer is unable to find it, as most of them don't really know how to use the parts program software. I've had to walk a few people through what buttons to click so they could get to the same screen as me to verify a part I was questioning about.

If I were you i would hi the junk yard, I have just done the non ABS swap to my GSX, the price from the dealer was crazy. The dealer price was almost $480 for all of the hard lines from master cylinder to rubber hoses. Anyway I went to the nearest junk yard and I bought the whole thing with ISC motor, and the A pillars for $40, just keep in mind (junk yard)

I broke this line doing the none abs swap. I have everything I need for the swap and just snapped that line when pulling the rubber hoses off to put in the new ss braided lines. According to JNZ the part I need is only $4.90 but of course they charge shipping and $7.50 handling fee which I will not have to pay for at my local mitsu dealer

I picked up my brake line from the dealer today and unfortunately its not the same line as the one I broke. There must be a difference between fwd and awd maybe? I think it might still work with my new SS braided lines though. I noticed that the diagram above says 2wd. I will find out tomorrow if I can still use it.
