Painted my tail lights TALON (pic)

OK one more thing heh. What did you do with the TALON lettering? Did you tape it off or did you just paint over it? May look good painted....

I painted right over it but you can not tell. It is still black. But at least this way the paint is even and there are no edges.

When you painted your taillights how did you keep paint from getting on the car??

newspaper only works if you have more than one sheet together. My friend had some paint leak through newspaper before. i suggest you use plastic. like trashbags.

TAKE THEM OFF THE CAR!!!! 8 or 9 bolts hold each side on and there are access panels to get to the bolts. The center section is a little more difficult, but you just remove the middle rear plastic piece. I wouldn't paint that on my car but I have seen it done before. saving your paint is worht the work if you ask me.

I have a 1g eclipse. I'm thinking about buying altezza's and painting them red I think it would look cleaner than the stock ones and better than just plain altezza's What do you think?

I think APC makes them but you can buy them from www.andysautosport.com. They just came out like last november or sometime around there

I personally don't like the altezza's but I hate that figgin horizontal stripe thats on there now. I was thinking if I got the altezza's and painted them red it would look pretty smooth

Since the headlight covers are illegal in most states, I would guess that painting the lenses of headlights are illegal. heck, some blue headlights are illegal.
