I was just looking through my Chilton manual to find torque specs, and it said to "Pack the bearing inner surface and the groove with grease. Do not apply grease to the resin portion of the bearing." But where I was reading on here, it said to just apply a small amount to the very inner part. What do I grease?

When I did my friends 92 AWD & my 91 FWD clutch install we only greased the shaft and the inner part of the throw out bearing and never had any problems.

Yes, just grease the inside sleve of the TOB and where it fits over the input shaft of the transmission. You may also want to put a dab on the pivot ball where it meets the clutch fork

i greased mine on the inside collar where it sits on the shaft and the back of it where the pivot arm touches it. then i also greased the pivot ball and the pivot arm where it touches the bearing.
if i remember correctly it is a sealed bearing and can't even really be greased on the inside.

Pretty much. Putting grease on the bearing helps in most cases is to keep the damn thing quiet. One of the things I've noticed is that it'll be louder if you don't, and if you do, it normally stays quiet. Either way, if you don't replace the arm ( the fork ) it'll rattle a bit anyways, from the wear overtime. It's just natural, people notice it after they install a new clutch for the first time with a new TOB becuse that wear allows for it to rattle a bit at idle with the clutch out. Somtimes it's faint, sometimes it's loud enough to sound like a spun bearing... Kinda scary, but grease the mofo anyways for safety, it won't hurt anything.

Hey StealthXtreme4 Ive been having this sounds that sounds like a spun bearing, I thought it was just my turbo but now that I think about it the sound does sound like it comes from my clutch. Can this happen when the clutch has not been changed?? I never installed a new one its still stock!

Overtime it'll get worn, and yes it is quite possible to have the TOB rattle or chirp like that... Push the clutch in, and see if it goes away... Somedays mine is very audible and some people who listen closely will ask me if the thing is gonna blow up.. Somedays it's quiet... I like those days..
