I have been dealing with a small evap leak code for awhile now so i decided to replace the evap purge solenoid. I replaced it and immediately after starting my car i recieved a PO443 trouble code. My scanner isnt even able to clear the code. Is it possible to test the solenoid with an air compressor set at around 15 psi?

you don't need an air compressor to test an evap solenoid. all you need to do is try to blow through each end of the purge solenoid with lung pressure to make sure the solenoid is sealing. if you can blow through the purge solenoid with lung pressure then the solenoid is bad. but if you can't blow through it (when it's not activated, all purge solenoids are usually closed type valves unless activated by the ecu) then the valve is sealing. it be wise to check the gas cap gasket for any cracks in it and make sure its on tight. make sure you turn it until it clicks at least two to three times. follow all the evap lines to check for cracks, broken or popped off lines, or any pin holes in the rubber lines. for evap leaks it's best to use a smoke machine, it will help you locate evap leaks as small as a pin hole; when using the machine its wise to activate the vent solenoid ( a normally open valve that only closes when activated by the ecu) to prevent a false leak reading. if you can't activate it with a scan tool, a pair of flat needle nose vise grips will work. just have to locate the vent outlet. other than these components, the only other possible cause for an evap leak is faulty electronic control. for testing the control side of an evap system test for power at the vent and purge solenoids. and check for grounds with the solenoids activated by a compatible scan tool. it you have power but no ground, then there's a fault in either a broken wire or and internal fault in the ecu. if you have ground with the solenoids activated and no power, you have either a blown fuse or an open wire.

Plus one on what blacknight said double check gas cap. Happened to me. Made sure it was tight and erased the code I was good from there on.
