After letting my car sit for 1 month during vacation this error came up, i scanned and says to be a o2 sensor heater malfunction or something of that nature. Has anybody had this code before and solve the problem? BTW i had replace front and rear 02 sensors since i buy the car.

P0138 is the Downstream Heated o2 sensor shorted to Voltage..

Check the wires, maybe when you redid it it rubed some shelding away and such. Start from there and work your way back. Good luck.

that and the wire covers, make sure there not bare and things of that nature.

electrical problems are not fun, could be the whole harness, maybe the ecu. Only other thing is to have someone look at it, good luck tho. :thumb:

I was thinking maybe the 02 sensor is going bad, how can you inspect the o2 sensor to check it is condition?

That's what the code is for. To tell you if the sensor went bad or not. If you've got a code for a downstream o2, you will need to replace it. When you replace it, inspect the harness for any form of damage i.e. bare wires, corroded terminals, etc...
