Ok, here is the dilema. I recently traded my o2 housing for another and upon removal of my o2 sensor I lost a couple threads on the end of it. It was a major PITA to get that sucker out which is surprising because it is only about 7 months old and I put anti-seize on it when I put it in. Now I'm trying to put the o2 sensor in my new housing and it will thread in a couple turns and then it pops out. I have screwed around with this thing for a couple hours and I am out of ideas other than having to get another o2 sensor. Does anybody have a solution to this problem or a remedy for the threads? I've closely examined the remaining threads and they look straight without any obstructions. Thanks

You could try running a chaser over the threads and see if it cleans them up.

Agreed, this would be the only option, really. But, on the bright side, you can get a new OEM Denso unit for ~$63 shipped from Spark plug, Spark plug wire, spark plug gap, spark plug cross reference and ignition wires at Sparkplugs.com

There's mixed feelings about anti-seize on the hot parts (exhaust ,manifold, turbo bolts, o2 housing). Some claim success, others claim the anti-seize turned into more of a glue.

One thing's for sure, I'll never try to remove my sensor with the o2 housing still attached again. Nothing but a headache. But once I removed the o2 housing I just put the hex of the sensor into my bench vice and I was able to generate plenty enough torque to remove the sensor just by turning the 02 housing by hand.
