I am in the process of rebuiding my 7 bolt and had my crankshaft machined for a spun bearing. They machined my crank to 10/20...10 on the rods and 20 on the mains. They make bearings to match but I am concerned about reliability as the recommended specs are no more than 10/10. Anyone out there have a machined crank with those specs that are not having any problems? I am thinking I'm ok..but am I really???

Do you mean oversized .25??? We have tested the clearances are within spec..The motor is back together..We are putting it back in the car on friday....

BMW also state you can't machine their rotors...But most do.. Guess we will see!!
