For those of you who have changed your spark plugs/wires, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. For those of you who haven't, it's the plastic spacer that holds the plug wires in place. You breathe on those things too hard they'll break.

Yep. The plastic gets old plus the engine gets hot, then cool, then hot, then cool. Kinda takes its toll. Mine's all broke too. :thumbdown

Mine were broken when I got the car 6 years ago. It had around 32k miles on it when I got it.

His was 100% correct.

My 1G had plastic.
I've broken them by gently moving them aside. It's not cheap plastic. It's good plastic, but the years of heat take their toll.

Look at the parenthesis. That's less than 100% correct.

i cant do anything to my car without a piece breakin.....engine detail....almost ALL bolts broke under minimal torque.....door handle broke w/ barely any pressure.....3 of the plastic push screws broke while taking the door panel off.....meh..least its not the engine ....

hey now, i like my 2g, and my plastic peice is fine. But i admit, i was in the market for a 1g and just couldnt find one that was clean enough..i guess i got impatient, but no regrets, my car has treated me well. (is my sig picture showing up, its not on my computer?)

yeah mine broke as well. also the plastic spark plug wire cap is cracked, and those litle wierd plastic screws that hold the vent behind the stock side mount ic broke.

Plastic sucks at everything. These cars should be made of solid steel and should have engine bays that are 3x bigger just so they're easier to work on. :p
