Orginal boost on a GST ?

hi this is my first post

i just bought an Eclipse GST its a 1995

well i just instaled a new boost gauge and if i let the car pull upp in 3 gear it hits about 8-10 psi .
Is that normal ?

Also wen i rev the car it hits almost 0 rpm after i step on the gas .? is that the intake or should i look at something else?.


The only mods so far is a K&N air intake ....

Edit i put my T for the gauge in the hose that leads from the blow of valve to the throttle body.

Yeah, that boost is normal. Be more descriptive on your rpm issue, I'm not sure what you mean. You should not tap the bov line for anything. Move your T to the fuel pressure solenoid line, it's the line coming out of your intake manifold on the front far right(as your looking at it).

Well the RPM problem .... if i rev the car ...but not in gear(Standing stil) ...it almost stalls ven the rev´s are coming down again hitting almost 0 rpm

Sounds like vacuum leaks or boost leaks.

is your blow off valve open atmosphere or recirculated because i had that problem with a vented one plus the stock blow off valve is a peice. re tap your boost gauge and see if that fixs your problem

I agree with Jay. 8-10 is on the lower end of "stock." That coupled with the near stalling issue points to boost leak as being the most obvious problem. Do a BLT.

Replace your stock BOV with something else that can hold more than 10 psi.
