I just replaced all rotors with Brembo blanks, about 2 weeks ago....and the hub of them is already rusted. (Orange..if it's not rust, it sure as hell looks like it). Anybody see anything wrong with this...?? Oh and it's rained here once in the past 2 weeks. How can I get rid of this???

any metal on the rotor that the pads dont touch will turn orange when it comes into contact with water. Remember what happens when you wash your car and spray water on the rotor? it rusts instantly. The only way to stop that is to paint the parts of the rotor that dont come into contact with the pads with some high temp paint (900 degs or higher) or you should have got rotors with a zinc plating

Hmm I thought all Brembos came with zinc plating?

It sucks when you put the new rotors on and they look all nice then later down the road its all rusty. Thats how all uncoated rotors will turn out, friction surface is all polished like while everything else not touched by the pads is all rusted.

I have the same issue with my Brembo blanks. Needless to say, I was disappointed when they started rusting on the hat area. I know the ones from the dealer don't rust. Also, the Brembos lack the two screw holes that help you remove the rotor if they become frozen to the hub. I guess these are the things that save you $40 per rotor.

Really? My brembos rotors came with the 2 holes for removing the rotor from the hub if it gets rusted. A simple way to avoid that is to put a coat of antiseize on the surface where the rotor touches the hub surface
