Has anybody had any problems w/ this. Are there any benifits becides a cleaner engine bay(which is basically why i want to do it). Any drawbacks becides emissions testing. Heres the link for thos who havnt seen this. http://www.taboospeedshop.com/emissions.htm
Thanks

I would like to know the benifets of this? Besides the fact that there are alot less hoses in the bay. Why would one do this?

(Not being smart, just trying to learn something new.)

Cleaner intake tract. No need to clean it. Less carbon buildup on intake valves. etc

Additionally if your EGR valve goes out ya gotta block the thing off anyway.

I actually had a problem when I did this and I was never sure why it happened. I followed all the instructions and set it up as the race setup with a greddy catch can and well when I would start my car oil would start comming out of my exhuast. I couldnt find the problem for the longest time I thought it was motor for a while. But then I removed the plug from the intake manifold and put the hose back on that goes to the pcv valve and after that everything ran perfect. Not sure why that happened becuase seems like nobody else ever had that problem though.

What did you guy's use to cap the ports on the throttle body?

At auto parts stores they have rubber caps that you can use. I've also seen people connect them together using a short piece of vacuum hose, but that looks dumb.

I've only rerouted the PCV hose (capped off intake mani, of course), the breather hose, and removed the hoses for the FPS. No problems so far in almost 2 years.

The advantage of removing the PCV and breather hoses is a much cleaner intake and intercooler.

Just curious if that's a kit, or just a diagram to do it ourselves? Looks like it's pretty easy to do. It's a newbie question, but what are the two sensors/solenoids on a 1g that are near the master cylinder

What are the benefits of connecting the PVC Vent and PVC Valve? And what problems could it cause for a daily driver?

If you don't have an aftermarket boost guage, can you still do this and have the stock guage work?

The reason I'm asking is because I've got it all apart, why not do something with it!
