So I got a bone stock 97 Eclipse GS-T, It has a fwd and all. But what are some of your guys suggestions on what I should do to it first? I would be glad to hear all your opinions!

^^^ I agree. I jumped the gun a bit. Probably due to my current situation. I did love the roll-ons in the fwd. (killing a 2012 ss camaro from a 20mph roll is so illegal and so fun) The handling is unbelievable too. Yea,LOL, first mods should not involve a awd swap haha. Maybe in a yr or 2 when he follows his upgrade path he will be inclined to buy/swap awd but thats later, not now.

My first upgrade was link and i think its a great start for everyone. Also, my car is a weekend/trip to the gym type car. If i drove it more i would probably stay fwd and keep the power levels down. If its a toy, like my 10r, then i go balls to the wall eventually. Alot of people do. He will carve his own path or just give up in frustration one day hahaha, naaaaw, OP just playing. Just keep reading and do youre homework. These can be very fun cars at a certain power level they can even be reliable. remember how old they are and be ready for maintenance and replacing many many parts.

Best of luck

I drove a 400 hp GST a while back on the back country roads of OHIO. I didn't launch the car but once I was rolling I was really impressed with how stable the car was. Especially with 3 foot deep rain ditches on either side of the road. Any who up to about 120 mph before backing off, the car held nice and straight without any problems.
So, if you want to launch the car, your going to need to consider an AWD swap. There is just too much torque in these engines to hook off the line nice. But if you just want a cruiser, the front runner is good for quite a bit of power. Just watch those rain ditches.

Missed your post. You sir have either large balls or complete faith in the entire suspension of your car including tires. Or youre young as hell and like me when i ws young, i didnt fear death all that much. Adrenaline junky.

Be careful. These cars wad up like tissue paper when they impact the front end. A 4g63 in your lap can kind of screw your day up.
