I'm in the middle of my 2GB conversion and I am getting ready to paint my Eclipse next month. I figured since I am painting it myself, I might as well have fun with it and do something interesting. I've attached so pictures that I doctored to look like what I want to do. Opinions? The colors are the stock Minden Silver Pearl, a dark metallic grey, and black.

If thats what you really like then do that... besides your doing it yourself so that paint job is gonna be more challenging than just painting it a solid color. In my opinion I like the clean look on the 2GB, just one whole shiny clean color would get a lot of attention;)

I like the look of it all one color but I figured if I was ever going to do any type of custom paint, now would be the time. The problem is finding a pattern that isn't too ricey or teenish.

I say all one solid color, but it's your car.
With that design though, maybe I'd do something different with the back. The dark grey blocks, maybe instead of squaring them off at the bottom, have them come down into points. At least on the one beside the taillight.

Yeah you dont want it to be to ricey..... that paint job kinda reminds me of a talon since they have the black roof.

My $.02, I'd say, leave the front bumper alone, maybe drop the gray line, but if you really like it, make it solid all the way back, rather than the squares on the back, black top looks good, go a dark black tint, plus black rims.

Depends on personal taste though. If YOU like it, you can't go wrong :thumb:

and the body looks clean, good job.

Do a crazy color. Search the color "Drunken Olive" and you'll understand what I mean.

I know the picture is huge but it gives you the feel for the color. What looks like a carbon fiber hood/roof is actually the gold flake.

I'm liking the general idea, I'm actually looking to do the same thing to my car. I don't want to thread-jack, but here is an idea I was playing around with just this week. Maybe it will help you out, and maybe I can get some feedback at the same time.

The bottom of the car would be a little darker gunmetal, I think.

P.S. The original is Emery's car from STM.

Thanks for all tha honest feedback. I really don't know what to do. I do like the look of clean all over silver but I was trying to give it some more personality. For all of you that said they like it but leave the bumper alone, I have attached a pic with the bumper silver.
