Cambridge,
well.. i just recently acquired a 97 GST with blown motor..

so now its the perfect time to swap in the 6 bolt.. but i hvae some questions.. if i was to stay with all OE parts..

this is the setup i was told would be best between the 2gens..

2g head
1g block
1g rods
2g pistons

is that the best setup for stickin with OE internals??

if not please let me know wat is the best option between using the best part from each of the 1g and 2g motors..

tried to search.. but didnt find wat i was lookin for thru 3 pages of search..

thanks for the input..

1G head and cams flow better. Better for top-end power, not quite as good down low as 2G equipment. Up to you on which way you want to go. 1G throttle body is also larger.

Yes, those are correct, but I am unsure about the 2g head. You would want a 1g intake manifold and 2g exhaust components and 1g TB.

does anyone know of auto wreckers with 6 bolt motors in southern california?? having problems finding any 6 bolt.. most jdm engine importers dont have any in stock...
