only sparks when testing cps?

95 GST -I have been having a spark issue and found that I have spark while testing the CPS by using a meter. I put the meter on the signal wire and ground on the engine and it will spark??? Any ideas why it wont spark when Im not testing it?

I figured out it sparks on cylinders 1and4 and then after turning the crank by trying to start it for a while it will start to spark on cylinders 2and3 but never on all 4 at the same time???

Was on vacation couple days. You DO know that 1 & 4 spark together followed by 2 & 3 together, right? They never all spark at the same time. CAS determines which set to fire while CPS determines when to fire.

Thanks for answering I ve been looken for ya Rallye. Yea they spark together just not at the same time. I bought a blacktop 1g cas and hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Ill let ya know what happens from there. I knew I had to change plug wires but didnt know I had to change injectors. Ill take a look at that RRE post to figure that out thanks again.

Well thank you all for your help. The Blacktop 1g CAS worked and the engine runs pretty good. If anyone is having this sort of problem its probly the crank sensor or cam sensor and the 1g cas replaced both so fix two problems with 1 thing. Again thks really needed the help and big props to Ralley he's the man with the knowledge. Now its time to find a big16g turbo for a good price and have some fun.
